Francisco Trincão is from Braga but grew up in Viana do Castelo and, naturally, it was there that he took his first steps with SC Vianense. He had a brief stint at FC Porto but the young age and travel distance to Porto, dictated his return to Vianense. The following season, he joined Braga, a city where he had a family and where he could grow up with more support, both in life and in football.
A Portuguese international at all levels from the under-17 where he was European champion in 2018, with the under-19s and ended up asserting himself in the SC Braga first team. He made his debut for them that same year. He transferred to FC Barcelona in 2020, where he spent one season and won a Copa del Rey.
He now arrives at Sporting CP, on loan, after a season in England, with Wolverhampton. As a new Lion, he said he was fulfilling a dream and said he will do his best to help the Club.
