Irina Rodrigues will be in action in Rio de Janeiro later this year, after reaching the Olympic minimum's in Leiria this weekend.

The Alvalade athlete managed to clear the 61m mark on four occasions, with her best throws measuring 63.96m and 63.14cm. It was way back in 1998 and 2000 that a Portuguese athlete managed such a massive distance, with Teresa Machado covering 65.40m.
