4-3 win against the hosts earns trophy and Jordan named MVP
The Portuguese national beach soccer team won the Copa Pielsner this weekend, after beating the hosts El Salvador (4-3).
With Sporting stars Jordan, Madjer and Belchior in the initial line-up and Rui Coimbra introduced to the action later on, Mário Narciso's side actually fell behind from a strike by Batres, but José Maria leveled at the end of the first period.
In the second period Rui Coimbra made it 2-1, but Frank Velásquez pulled the hosts level again. The final result was finally closed out in the third period, courtesy of Madjer and Belchior, while Heber Ramos grabbed a consolation for El Salvador.
Portugal thoroughly deserved the silverware, having beating Argentina (6-0) and the USA (4-1).
