European governing body publishes article on conference hosted in Lisbon
UEFA has ran a news piece on an event organised by Sporting CP, focusing on the development of treatments and the prevention of injuries. also taking part in the conference were representatives from Barcelona, Shakhtar Donetsk, FC Porto, Manchester United, Juventus, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, AS Roma, Paris Saint-Germain, Galatasaray, Basel, Anderlecht, Maribor and Atlético de Madrid.
The UEFA Elite Club Injury Study talks provide clubs and football associations with the opportunity to exchange know-how in how to best treat their players and in how to avoid injury in nthe first plce. The stidy was launched in 2001 and is coordinated by the president of UEFA's Medical Committee, Jan Ekstrand.
